For years now, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have taken the reigns of social networking. However, new apps have appeared that aim to provide users with a new platform to share their thoughts and connect with other people. Among those is Parlor, a new social app that allows users to talk, not only with their friends but with random people as well. Be careful, though. The app has some rowdy users who take the conversation to the extreme.

What does the app offers?

Parlor’s developers call the app the social talking program. Unlike the popular platforms, this software focuses on conversations rather than sharing things publicly. You can use it to connect more with your friends by sending them chats and even call them through the video calling tool. There is also a message board where you can posts updates for all your friends to see. You can also post videos or watch what the other users post. 

However, what sets it apart from others is how easy it makes it to connect with random strangers. In the app, there is a list of topics that you can browse. Once you have found one to your liking, you can click it, and the app will connect you to another user who chose the same topic as you. You can then start talking immediately to get to know more about them and discuss both your chosen topic.

Be warned, though. As the app connects you with a total stranger, you might find the experience unpleasant depending on the person you were connected with. Some conversations are rather raunchy, and some users are crude. More than that, the app can also be a platform for cyber-bullying. You will also find the app difficult to navigate. Signing-up is hard, and some changes you made on your profile do not reflect on your page.

Requires more optimization

The Parlor app is new in the social media market. However, despite offering something new, users will find the experience unsatisfactory. In addition to technical issues, like problems with the sign-up process, the app can also be a breeding ground for cyberbullies and sexual predators due to the lack of a proper moderation system.
